“SUN GAZING”

Reports of it date back to over two thousand years ago: it is a very simple activity that does not require posology and is to be practised at sunrise and an hour before sunset. Do not look directly at the sun, to avoid any damage to the retina: the secret to benefiting from the practice lies in letting go of everything, and in focussing only on breathing. Admiring the sunrise is good for the body and the mind, and, if practised regularly, brings incredible benefits to health:

  1. alleviates anxiety and regenerates the mind
  2. lets you have a date with yourself during which you can turn off the outside voices and speak with the more profound “you”
  3. helps to regulate metabolism
  4. helps to maintain a connection with nature and with the world in general, reaching a sensation of peace and tranquillity
  5. anxiety, tensions and worries go away, and the quality of sleep gets better
