Mindful Eating

Mindful eating educates us and reminds us that the relationship between ourselves and food is very important.

Sometimes we eat just because we are bored, sad or angry and, depending on our mood, we go looking for particular foods: if we are angry we will look for crunchy foods that tend to be salty, if we need to bridge a gap, if we need some pampering, we will look for a box of biscuits.

A concrete first approach: appreciate your food. Savour each mouthful with all your senses. Observe its colours, appreciate its aroma and experience the tactile sensation it gives your palate and discover its taste. By doing this you will slow down the time it takes to eat and you will be able to do it in a more relaxing and enjoyable way.
